A partnership of the University of Chicago and the Universities Research Association (URA), the Fermi Research Alliance manages Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), America's particle physics and accelerator laboratory.

Features

The Fermi Research Alliance, LLC (FRA) manages Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) for the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science.

Located forty miles west of Chicago, Fermilab is America's particle physics and accelerator laboratory. Its vision is to solve the mysteries of matter, energy, space and time for the benefit of all.

FRA builds on URA’s record of performance as manager and operator of Fermilab, as well as the University of Chicago’s resources, partnerships and experience managing Argonne National Laboratory through the University’s wholly owned affiliate, UChicago Argonne, LLC. Together, the FRA team brings resources, collaborations, and best practices to deliver world-class research through the safe and efficient management and operation of Fermilab.
